Jaymes McCloud, Board Member
As the chief architect of a remarkable legacy in the making, Jaymes McCloud stands as a shining example of what a life dedicated to servant leadership can flourish into. Jaymes has carved out a self-made path to success as the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of J.H.W. Enterprises Property Management, Incorporated by lending his highly sought-after business expertise coupled with an unwavering commitment to family, faith, and service.
In March of 2018, Jaymes founded J.H.W. Enterprises Property Management, Incorporated, where he grew exponentially from managing one property at a mere $60.00 each month during its first year to an astounding portfolio of over 80 properties by year two. An avid and active community leader and apartment management expert, Jaymes leads a dynamic team of dedicated professionals in expertly managing & caring for hundreds of multifamily, commercial, and residential properties spanning five states. Under his helm, J.H.W. Enterprises has
become one of the Southeast’s fastest-growing multifamily portfolio management companies, amassing a profit-producing portfolio of more than 700 units across South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Maryland, and Texas at an impressive valuation of 32 million dollars. Beyond curating multifamily communities designed for families to “love where they live,” Jaymes McCloud has envisioned a business that adds value to clients, employees, and tenants through resource efficiency and a culture for success. Motivated by a desire “to do property management the right
way,” Jaymes guides his team in applying an integrity-led approach in effectively capturing market rent, identifying qualified tenants, stabilizing facilities expenses, and offering transparent reporting to property investors.
Possessing a burning desire to serve, he initially dreamt of a career in law enforcement, where he would selflessly dedicate his life to protecting and serving his community. After attending Charleston Southern University from 2010-2013, pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration, Jaymes decided to become a pillar in his community in other influential ways. Seeing a lack of representation in the property management industry and a need for more compassion-driven leadership, he began his professional career as a Leasing Agent in 2011. After climbing the corporate ladder and earning several promotions, he became a Property Manager, Regional Manager – overseeing 400-600 units, and Vice President of Property Management – supervising a 60- member team across 5 states. Recognized as a top performer throughout his career and one who conducts business with high ethics, consistently displaying excellent problem-solving skills, Jaymes used his expertise and unforeseen professional setbacks to establish an incredible legacy of his own.
In addition to his commitment to delivering optimal property management, real estate investment, and leadership development expertise, Jaymes is also a champion in the fight against homelessness and poverty. As a committed advocate for the disenfranchised and poverty-stricken, he is a former member of the Landlord Engagement Committee for Homelessness, which worked tirelessly to close gaps for the marginalized by providing safe and
affordable housing to those without a place to call home. He has also used his strengths as a masterful networker to develop cohesive partnerships with non-profit organizations such as One80 Place, the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, and Roper St. Francis Hospital to further provide housing assistance to those in most urgent need. An influential and impactful community leader, Jaymes serves on multiple boards throughout the area to include the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, First Community Land Trust, Soul Harvesters
Outreach (Vice Chair), Enough Pie (Chairman), and the O.K.R.A. Soup Foundation (Treasurer).
When Jaymes is not helping to create legacies for clients, investors, and partners, he spends quality time with his beautiful wife Jessica and their three adoring children.
